When working for yourself is not all it’s cracked up to be

When working for yourself is not all it's cracked up to be

How do you honestly feel about working for yourself?

Wow!  What an eye-opener!

A very brave lady in my Facebook group posted the following message.  She opened her heart and was honest about how working for yourself is not always what it’s cracked up to be:

I don’t normally moan about how hard things are, but today I wanted to share with you how I honestly feel about my business. I love what I do, I love the way people love what I do, but I hate my business today. I feel I am taking 1 step forward and 10 steps backwards all the time. I try to do what I am told to do and still feel like I am wading through jelly. There is no money coming in and a ton of money going out which means sometimes I have to choose between a meal or networking. I am so fed up with it today that I feel like chucking the whole lot out, clearing my office and renting it out. I would make more money. I know this is today and tomorrow I will get back to it because I don’t give up. (Wish I could sometimes). Just wanted to be honest that sometimes this working for yourself is not all it’s cracked up to be. Off to have chocolate and put the heating on.

The comments that followed were tremendous and amongst the support given, many more women admitted:

Bang on. You could have taken those words right out of my mouth.

Omg you won’t believe how many people actually feel this way too….

I feel the exact same way

You’re so not alone, thank you for being brave enough to speak out. I feel like you do most weeks and I reckon there are quite a few of us that do if truth be told.

I’m almost relieved to read this. It’s so easy to feel like everyone else is flying whilst I’m paddling like a drowning penguin.

And oodles more!  You can read them here

Amongst other things, I advised the ladies to read my post When you feel like giving up

But I also knew they needed more than that.  The ladies needed something short and sharp to help get them back on track and to get clients signing up to their business.  They were completely overwhelmed and had fallen into a quagmire of indecision and hopelessness.  They had all reached the point or realising that working for yourself is not always what it’s cracked up to be.

So I jumped into action (because I am so lovely and kind) and created a FREE 5-day email course on How To Convert Prospects Into High Paying Clients.

This course is for you if you feel:

  • A bit clueless about who your ideal client is
  • You are struggling to make more sales (and more money) in your business
  • A bit nervous, even nauseous about the idea of ‘selling’
  • You would love to know to communicate with potential clients in a way that makes them fall madly in love with your products and services

If you follow these steps and take action, this course truly can turn your business around.

To get access, drop me a message

You will thank me for it.
